show moreReceived Aug 11, 2025 at 15:48:54 -0700 (PDT). Unsolicited bulk ad for “EnergyBillCruncher” with subject “Your Home May Qualify for Up to 70% Energy Savings—Check Now.” Links push a “Learn More” CTA; message pretends to be a delivery-status report (multipart/report) while actually marketing.
Auth: SPF pass for envelope [email protected]; DKIM: none shown; DMARC: not shown; From domain (dqzbgcnzdk.us) does not align with SPF domain. Sending IP to Google: 178.162.185.71 — LeaseWeb Netherlands B.V. ([email protected]). Upstream MTA: 173.228.155.53 njmta-53.sailthru.com — NYI / The New York Internet Company ([email protected]).
Likely CAN-SPAM violations (15 U.S.C. §7701 et seq.) for unsolicited commercial email with deceptive headers/subject and unclear sender; also abuses standards (RFC 5322 headers; misuse of multipart/report; DMARC RFC 7489 misalignment). show more178.162.185.71 (owned by Leaseweb Deutschland GmbH) sent a deceptive bulk email on Sun, 10 Aug 2025 05:45:25 -0700, using forged branding of StateFarm to lure the recipient into clicking fraudulent links. The “From” field falsely used the recipient’s own name to increase trust. Message contained misleading claims of a “free fire safety kit” contingent on completing a survey, leading to potentially malicious third-party sites. Content was mass-mailed in HTML format with obfuscated tracking links.
The spam bypassed content filters using domain [email protected] with SPF pass, but DKIM and DMARC authentication results were absent, indicating non-compliance with email best practices. This constitutes a violation of the CAN-SPAM Act (15 U.S.C. §7701), fraud statutes, and RFC 5321/5322 provisions regarding header integrity and truthful origin representation.
All headers are being reported to the host. Leaseweb has a history of ignoring repeated spam complaints from SpamCop.

show moreSpam received on August 4, 2025, at 2:00 AM PDT. The message falsely used the recipient’s name in the From field to deceive the user, offering misleading car insurance quotes. The email originated from IP 178.162.185.71 and was relayed via njmta-53.sailthru.com (IP: 173.228.155.53). Content included obfuscated links and heavily encoded HTML to bypass filters.
Authentication results: SPF passed, but no DKIM or DMARC results were found, indicating potential forgery or failure to implement sender authentication fully—violating RFC 6376 and RFC 7489. The message is unsolicited commercial email, likely violating the CAN-SPAM Act (15 U.S.C. §7701 et seq.) due to deceptive sender info and lack of proper unsubscribe mechanisms.
This spam continues despite repeated complaints, demonstrating the hosting provider has taken no meaningful action. The sending IP belongs to Hetzner Online GmbH.

show moreReceived on August 2, 2025 at 22:08:05 PDT, the email arrived from IP 178.162.185.71 via mail server at 173.228.155.53. The header shows a “From” name using the intended recipient’s name falsely. The message subject offers discounted car insurance at “$27/month,” but the body is garbled HTML/text, referencing irrelevant “Top Stories of the Day: Sep 0, 2019,” suggesting template misuse or placeholder content.
Despite the “From” domain mail.bytelab.ch, SPF passed, while DKIM and DMARC are absent or failed (no DKIM‑signature and no DMARC results), indicating authentication issues. The content clearly qualifies as email spam: unsolicited, misleading, irrelevant, and persistent. Complaints to the host appear disregarded, as the spam continues unabated.
This likely violates anti–spam laws (CAN‑SPAM Act, UK GDPR where applicable), and breaches RFC 5321/5322 rules on sender identity spoofing and missing authentication.

show moreReceived on 31 July 2025 at 21:25:40 PDT / 00:25:40 UTC (August 1). The email claimed to be from “Roofing Prices” but used a “From:” name that included the recipient’s name falsely. The body contained generic boiler‑plate and unrelated text (“Top Stories of the Day: Sep 0, 2019”) with scrambled HTML fragments and no real offer content—clearly spam.
SPF was pass (domain [email protected] permitted IP 178.162.185.71), but there is no DKIM signature, and DMARC alignment appears absent, indicating authentication failure or lack thereof. The sending IP and mail relay IP (both 178.162.185.71) are the same. The result: unverified mail masquerading under a misleading sender name.
The hosting provider appears to be Leaseweb Deutschland GmbH, with abuse contact [email protected] and phone +49 69 2475 2860 via IP WHOIS. This violates U.S. CAN‑SPAM Act (false headers & sender) and potentially RCF 5322 § 3.6 (misleading “From”) and RCF 7489 on unauthenticated spoofing.

show moreThis email was a deceptive phishing attempt impersonating the USPS. It falsely claimed that a package could not be delivered due to "incorrect address," with a call to action urging the recipient to "reschedule delivery" by clicking a malicious link. The email header indicates it was not sent by USPS but was spoofed to mislead the recipient. The 'From' field used the recipient's name to falsely imply it was self-sent, a common tactic to bypass filters. No valid SPF, DKIM, or DMARC records were found — all failed, indicating no authorization to send from the source domain. These failures further confirm email forgery. This message was clearly engineered for fraud or malware delivery under the guise of official package correspondence and should be treated as a phishing and spoofing attempt.
