show moreUsed credential ubuntu/36#=s@2#V4+!Kru over SSH-2.0-Go in 2 sessions. The actor checked CPU count and top processes, then created/used /dev/shm/w.sh and attempted to drop files named astats and kstats in writable directories. They queried crontab and tried to add an @reboot entry for /dev/shm/w.sh with arguments "astats" "netai" "kstats" "ssh 2 az", indicating persistence via cron. They also inspected running processes for astats and kstats. Cleanup commands removed .bash_history, utmp/wtmp/lastlog, yum.log, secure, and other log files to erase traces. No downloads, port forwarding, lateral movement, or dropped-file artifacts were observed in this capture.

show moreObserved 2 SSH sessions over Go SSH client using valid login ubuntu/ubuntu123. Activity focused on dropping and persisting files in /dev/shm: created /dev/shm/w.sh, wrote /dev/shm/kstats, and chmod +x on w.sh. Checked and modified crontab to add an @reboot entry invoking /dev/shm/w.sh with arguments "astats" "netai" "kstats" "ssh 2 az". Performed process and CPU enumeration with ps, grep, awk, and cat /proc/cpuinfo | grep processor | wc -l, including searches for astats and kstats. Executed cleanup/log-wiping commands removing .bash_history, utmp, wtmp, lastlog, yum.log, secure, and wtmp/secure paths. No downloads, lateral movement, or port forwarding were observed. No file artifacts or hashes were provided.
